Lettres Lyon (humanities entry to the ENS de Lyon)
Lettres Lyon means preparing for the humanities entrance exam of the ENS de Lyon. Lumi helps you retain the programme between readings, essays and orals.
In short
The ENS de Lyon recruits in humanities and social sciences through an exam prepared in khâgne. Depending on the path, it covers literature, history, philosophy, languages and social sciences. Many Lyon khâgnes, prepare for this school and others. Tests include written and oral parts. The school also trains for research.
What goes on your cards
For Lyon, make cards for the set works and their themes, history and geography landmarks, concepts of philosophy and the humanities, and language vocabulary. Lumi has you recall them.
A study rhythm
Keep a weekly review for each set work, then a longer one before in-class essays. Useful gaps grow as the written exams approach (Cepeda et al., 2006). Before the orals, go through the cards aloud with a classmate. See Spaced repetition, how long to wait between two reviews.
