France
PASS and LAS (first year of health studies)
PASS and LAS are the two ways into health studies in France. Lumi helps you hold a huge volume of lessons to learn by heart.

In short
PASS, the parcours accès spécifique santé, is a first year centred on health subjects. LAS, the licence accès santé, is a bachelor’s in another field with a health option. Both let you apply, under conditions set by each university, to medicine, pharmacy, dentistry or midwifery. Assessments combine written tests and, for some candidates, orals. Places are limited and selection is strong.
What goes on your cards
In PASS or LAS the volume to memorise is huge, so cards help structure it. Put in anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, histology, pharmacology, biology, chemistry and statistics, with diagrams, names and values. Lumi has you recall.
A study rhythm
Semesters are heavy, so keep a short daily session on chapters you have already covered instead of leaving them behind. The ideal gap depends on the distance to the test (Cepeda et al., 2008). As exams approach, cycle through the whole programme. See Spaced repetition, how long to wait between two reviews.
