MPSI (maths, physics, engineering science)
MPSI, the first year of the maths, physics and engineering track of French prépa, centres on maths and physics. Lumi helps you remember the definitions and theorems you need in every exercise.

In short
MPSI stands for mathématiques, physique et sciences de l’ingénieur. It is the first year of a science track in French classes préparatoires, with maths carrying the most weight, then physics, chemistry, computing and engineering science. It is followed by a second year, MP, MPI or PSI depending on your choice and file. The second year prepares the entrance exams of engineering schools. Year one is a big jump in pace and abstraction.
What goes on your cards
In MPSI, make cards for algebra and analysis definitions, theorems with their exact assumptions, usual series expansions, formulas in mechanics, electricity, optics and thermodynamics, and Python basics. Lumi has you recall.
A study rhythm
After each lesson, add the day’s definitions. Do a session that evening, another two days later and one before the week’s oral, then review at the end of the chapter (Rawson and Dunlosky, 2011). In January and June, replay the whole semester. Plan with How to make a study schedule before an exam.
